THE STAFF AT EPIC

Dr. Marley
Byrne, VMD

Growing up in Maine, Dr. Marley Byrne always felt naturally drawn to animals, long before she knew veterinary medicine would become her career. That early connection evolved into a desire to build a profession centered on advocacy, compassion, and meaningful impact for pets and their families.

Dr. Byrne earned her undergraduate degree from Villanova University, majoring in Biology with minors in Economics and Classics. During college, she worked in several small animal hospitals and volunteered at her local animal shelter. She also spent a summer in Belize studying conservation medicine, gaining a broader perspective on the connection between animal health and the environment.

She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2022, where she served as Co-President of the Penn Vet Wine Club. Dr. Byrne’s professional interests include emergency and critical care as well as behavioral medicine. She values the fast-paced, problem-solving nature of urgent cases and the thoughtful communication required to guide families through stressful moments. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Byrne joined Epic Veterinary Urgent Care in January and is proud to be part of a team focused on delivering compassionate, efficient, and high-quality urgent care. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys gardening, baking sourdough, spending time outdoors, and exploring new restaurants.
