EPIC stands for Empathy and Empowerment, Professionalism, Integrity, and Collaboration. These are values that drive everything we do. EPIC Veterinary Urgent Care is the dream of Dr. Tom Taney and Dr. Emily Volk. Drs. Taney and Volk are long-time friends and emergency veterinarians who believed they could deliver high-quality care, while avoiding the chaos of the emergency room.

Our 4,000-square-foot facility is located in The Shoppes at the Garden State Park Retail Center in Cherry Hill, NJ. Our beautiful hospital was thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of pets and their human families. We offer advanced diagnostic testing, including bloodwork, X-rays, ultrasounds, and echocardiograms (cardiac ultrasounds). We are always prepared to perform emergency surgeries, wound repairs, and sedated exams. Pets and their people can stay together during their entire visits; there is no treatment area that is off limits to pet parents. We have a modern, clean layout with eight exam rooms to streamline flow and minimize wait times. Other features include a sound barrier for our cat room, to help keep cats calm and comfortable as well as a dedicated kid's nook in our lobby to keep small humans calm and comfortable. A spacious, dedicated euthanasia room has been built with extra seating and special treats to allow families to say goodbye in a peaceful and private setting.

Our team maintains excellent communication with referring veterinarians and functions as an extension of your healthcare team, because continuity of care matters. We’re here to support both pets and primary care providers by offering urgent care services that bridge the gap between general practice and emergency care.
